Raw Forest Honey is collected from the lower Himalaya region in the state of Uttarakhand. This honey comes from the nectar collected by Indian Honey Bee (Apis Cerana Indica) from diverse range of flora inhabited in pristine Himalaya region between the elevations of 7,000-10,000 ft. The rich flora comprises of a number of herbs, shrubs, roses and a variety of Rhododendrons that includes Pine, Chir, Sal, Oak, Silver Fir, Spruce, Horse Chestnut, Walnut, Himalayan Elm, Poplar, Himalayan Birch, Himalayan Yew, Cypress, Larch, Box Berry (Kafal), Himalayan Cedar (Deodar) etc.
Our Raw Forest Honey, harvested by the small scale farmers from traditional beehives is exactly how nature intended it to be. This honey is harvested thrice a year; in the month of April-May i.e. Chaitra, June-July i.e. Ashad and October-November i.e. Kartik.
It contains the widest variety of health-supportive substances i.e. antioxidants, enzymes, probiotics, vitamins and minerals as a wide range of medicinal herbs, and plants are visited by the bees providing all their goodness to the Raw Forest Honey. It is just strained to remove any residue left after extraction keeping all the natural characteristics found in raw honey fully intact. Once strained, raw honey is bottled and ready to be consumed. The flavor, color & texture of natural organic honey always varies due to the season and region as flora and fauna changes every 2,000 ft. elevation. Pure, raw and unheated honey has a natural tendency to crystallize over time simply due to its chemical composition. Crystallization does not affect the honey except for color and texture.
